About
Educational Background
My formal education is from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Art, emphasis in painting. After college, I returned to my hometown of Kansas City to start a career. Working as a faux painter, i learned how to execute on a large scale, with speed, and dive into nontraditional paint. Then as gallery manager at Sav-Art Gallery, i received immeasurable experience for which I am forever grateful. Now, I'm a full-time fine artist, wife to a 2x restauranteur, mother of three busy kiddos, and an obsessive gardener. Through these adventures, I have had the opportunity to be flexible, explore current color trends as well as visual and textural patterns, learn and experiment with new mediums, and be true to my craft.
As a commission artist for national designers, corporate clients, hospitals and private collectors, I layer their personal memorabilia into the mixed media of my work. I am included in the local collections of: North Kansas City Hospital, Black & Veatch, Tippins, Midwest Builders Casualty, and Midwest Transplant Network.
